Management and Budget, on the status of our retirement legislation in
the light of Treasury's adverse report on the funding title. a ra said
it would be impossible to resolve the matter before the adjournment of
this Congress but agreed to try to clear the other provisions of the bill
in Title II, including quota relief, and promised ::to let us know the out-
come in the next two days. (See Memorandum for the Record.)
