Approved For Release 2005/12/14: 7 ?2.C00337R000400030014-7 Journal - Office of Legislative Counsel n.,,,.,, 2 Monday - 8 August 1969 In In the absence of Larry Conrad, I met with Jay erman in his office and left with him the revised amendments to S. 782, I advised Mr. Berman that we had discussed these amendments with NSA, who was in agreement with them, and with the FBI. I added that the FBI informed us they wished to pursue a full exemption for the Bureau and, therefore, they were not mentioned in these amendments. Mr. Berman and I discussed this a bit and agreed that, if a full exemption were to be given for one agency, it would seem desirable to treat the other security agencies, i. e., CIA and NSA, the same way.
