6. (Unclassified - JGO) Received a call from Esther Dukov, in
the office of Representative Gerald R. Ford (R. , Mich. ), concerning
opportunities for contract employment in the Washington area for an
Army lieutenant now serving in Vietnam. Mrs. Dukov indicated that the
lieutenant is only interested in such employment for one to two years.
I advised that due to the general cutback in Federal employment I did not
believe that we would have anything to offer the young man, but that we
would be pleased to interview him or accept an application after his
release from the service. No further action is indicated. 25X1
7. (Secret - JGO) In response to a request relayed through[--]
OPPB, delivered an OMB budget letter to Bill Woodruff, Counse
Senate Appropriations Committee. See Memo for Record.

8. (Unclassified - JGO) Talked to a member of t
and Means Committee staff, and learned that S. 2984 relating to temporary
employee and retirement credit has not been scheduled for action by the
Committee.
9. (Confidential - JMM) Received a call from Richard Perle, on
Senator Jackson's staff, who said the Senator would like an Agency expert
to appear in executive session before his Subcommittee on Strategic Arms
Limitations Talks of Senate Armed Services Committee when they hear
the SALT delegation next Tuesday, 13 October, at 10:00 a. m. I said this
would create some problems but I would let him know shortly what if
anything we could do to help them25X1
