met with Mrs. Hunter, Assistant to Senator Robert P. Griffin (Whip Office -
R., Mich. ), and discussed with her Agency employment application pro-
cedures and left with her a professional brochure, applications and the
pamphlet "The Central Intelligence Agency. "

I talked to Representative Bush and offered to arrange a personal

3. JGO) Met with Mr. Frank Slatinshek,
Acting Chief Counsel, House Armed Services Committee, and received
from him a copy of Chairman Philbin's letter to the Civil Service Com-
mission and Chairman Philbin's statement made on the floor of the House
this afternoon concerning transfer of Government contributions to the CIA
Retirement Fund. Frank was most cordial and indicated that he was glad
he was able to help.
4. JGO) Met with Representative William
Bray (R. , Ind. ), who told me tat he would be travelling to Japan, Korea, and
possibly Okinawa as a representative of the House Armed Services Real
Estate Subcommittee. He plans to arrive in Tokyo on 7 January. Repre-
sentative Bray's trip is in no way related to Agency interests.
