5. Called Betty Ann Shirley, on the staff
of Senator James B. Pearson (R., Kans. ), to advise her that the Senator's
letter to the Civil Service Commission on retirement
case has been referred to the Agency sinc lapparently is
covered under the CIA retirement system. I told Miss Shirley that we
had just received the letter from CSC today and would be in touch with
them further as soon as we had reviewed the case. Miss Shirley thanked
me for calling and said she would note her file to this effect.
