I told Mrs. Wilson I assumed that the suggested reply whic had provided the Senator's office on 25X1 15 April had settled the matter and the referrals from the other departments had occurred after that date. Mrs. Wilson assured me that our response had taken care of the matter and added that nothing further was required. 2. Robert Horner, House Internal Security 25X1 Committee staff, called to express the Committee's interest in the appearance of I told him that it was my under- 25X1 standing that she was under the control of the Mexican government and if this was still true we probably could not be of any help, but that I would get a current reading and be back in touch. Mr. Horner asked if we had received their statement concernin the ways in which the Committee believed the testimony of 25X1 could be helpful. I told him that we had, that it is now in the hands of responsible officers, and that we probably would be back in touch in the next day or so. 3. Jay Sourwine, Senate Internal Security Subcommittee staff, called to ask if we know whether the official proceedings of the 19th Pugwash Conference held in Sochi, USSR, had been released or made public. I told him we would look into the matter and be back in touch. In response to an earlier inquiry and based on the advice of H Division, I told Mr. Sourwine that we did not have any hard information on the publication date of the January /February issue of the Tri-Continental. He thanked us for our efforts. CONFIDENTIAL Ev1 1/ . _ Approved F r Release 2006/12/13: CIA-RD P72-0033 0 0058
