to John Osborn, on the staff of Representative Howard Pollock (R., Alaska),
a translation of an unclassified document entitled "A Dead Railroad. "
Mr. Osborn had been referred to us by the Department of Transportation
regarding this document.
5.1 Jack Leahy, State Department Legislative 25X1
Liaison, contacted me about an inquiry he had received from the Senate
Internal Security Subcommittee with regard to th 25X1
I told Mr. Leahy that we had also been contacted by the Senate 25X1
Subcommittee and had noted the interest of fh~- Somatp_ ttee in having
25X1
6. Forty-four students of the Honor High 25X1
School Intern Program, sponsored by Representative Gilbert Gude (R. , Md. ),
visited Headquarters for a talk by of OTR. 2X1
talk on the responsibilities and funct?ons of the Agency was very well
received. The high interest of the students was evident from the questions
they asked following talk. George Mannina, Assistant to 25X1
the Congressman,accompanied the group. O.TR, was present 25X1
as an observer.
