Space Committee, called and asked if it would be possible for us to provide
him with a list of items of useful information which the Soviets obtained
in their last three lunar shots. He said he was also interested in any
information we could provide him on the cost of these Soviet launches. I

7. (Confidential - JMM) Accompanied John Clarke, D/PPB, and
Don Brazier, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Comptroller)
in a meeting with Ed Braswell, Chief of Staff, Senate Armed Services
Committee, and Ralph Preston, Staff Assistant, House Appropriations
Committee, to discuss possible alternatives to the present method of

to meet a friend and constituent of Senator Henry M. Jackson,
who was interested in developing contact with ChiCom officials
interested in the field of prestressed concrete.

me that the full Committee met today and may not meet again before this
Congress adjourns. In all probability this forecloses any further action on
this Congress.

of General Counsel, who told me that the nepartment o ,us ice a received
an inquiry from Representative John T. Myers (R., Ind.) concerning the Huey
Newton letter offering troops and assistance to the government of North
Vietnam. The letter was reported by Jack Anderson in his Washington Post
column of 13 November to be in possession of the Central Intelligence Agency.
I gave Greaney a copy of the FBIS intercept of 9 October on Hanoi radio
announcement of the letter together with the New York Daily News item of
14 October reporting the same matter for forwarding to the Justice Department.
