ti / Approved For Release 2007/10/23 : CIA-RDP72-0045OR000100100005-5 1. I see nothing special about this Printing Survey except I wonder if the DDI did. in fact take the steps listed in "Tab A" and, if so were they only "Interim Action" or have they continued on. I have no way of knowing if indeed. Printing Services benefited by this report or not. 2. I rather suspect (but don't quote me) that perhaps for a while a cut was made in the various publicptions for DDI but as you well know little by little these do tend to creep back up to their original number of copies and then some. 3. As stated in Paragraph 1, Printing Services work is made up of 80% for the DDI - has this percentage changed in the past 3 years? That may be an interesting question for you to pose to the committee you are on. 4. As a matter of interest to you - all Directors in the DDS area have received memos from DDS office dated. 12 April 1968 for each of them to submit their printing requirements. I believe it is sheets of papers as, well as number of lobs, ed, calls from /L wanting to know how they figure their forms printing. The best answer I could. give was all the forms they are now responsible for, and. which are being printed. every 12 - 18 months are in fact a future requirement and. will remain so unless they YJbcome obsolete. However, I felt could.foc25X1 note hers to the SIPS program which is a few years away as far as forms go. This of course would apply to all of the DDS areas (i.e., Logistics, Finance, Medical, Security, etc.).
