INTRODUCTION
Two Model S-22 Infrared Scanners have been developed and are
to be retrofitted with new analog electronic modules prior to system
evaluation. The following report summarizes the monthly progress
from 15 June to 15 July 1967.
The only work in process at this time is the production of 100
electronic modules for retrofit. These units, as previously reported,
have been rescheduled for delivery due to slippages in production and
a higher priority companion program. Delivery of the units is
scheduled for early September and integration of the modules into the
S-22 system will be done on a non-interference basis with the above-
mentioned higher priority program.
II PROGRAM STATUS
A. Technical Conferences
Clay visited John and Al, 28 June 1967; subject: Program
Review.
B. System Integration
No work was done in this area.
C. Development Status
1. Thermoelectric Cooler
Delivery of this item has been rescheduled to 1 August.
Some fabrication problems were experienced and in ad-
dition, the vendor shut down work for vacations. This is
not a pacing item.

2. Analog Electronic Modules
The following Table presents the current status
in the design and production of the required 100 modules.
The problems experienced in this area are as previously
reported: poor quality in deposition masks and a low
yield in the selection of low noise devices for the pre-
amplifier.
III PROBLEM AREAS
A delivery slippage in excess of 12 weeks exists as a result of
poor masks and yielding to a higher priority companion program.
