Dear Temps
The enclosed memo to file contains a summary of the reasoTnsTINTL
for choice of the IBM TDPS computer for use in the F 14R a ati.onal AGE.
This subject was discussed previously by telephone with
and again at the FMR Design Review Meeting on May 114# 19 .
An additional advantage for the IBM unit not mentioned in
the memo is that the basic thin film circuit cards are the same as
those IBM is using in the new line of IBM 360 computers, and hence will
have world wide distribution - an asset for spare parts procurement.
Considering all factors, we believe the IBM unit is the beat choice for
the program. Please call if more detailed information is desired.
