The
(
Sir: The Committee for the Support.
of Vietnam Policy, an organization of,
youth concerned with the present world
situation, has been founded to public-
ly support the Administration's pres-
ent Vietnam policy. . . .
We are not radicals or Victniks, but
logical students who with much study!
have concluded that the present Ad.;
ministration's course is the only real.;
?
istic course open to our country. We
recognize the fact that while the United
States is in South Vietnam to protect1
the innocent population, there is, and:
must be, a broader policy of Corn-;
rriunist containment. We agree with the
Administration in rejecting troop with-
drawal as a precondition to peace. We
feel that .the present military govern.-
ment of South Vietnam, while faulty
in Many respects, is the only feasible
rule under the prevailing war condi ?
? ,,
Lions.
We believe that this is a crucial time
%4 in history . . . a time when those with
beliefs should let them be known. It is
to this purpose that the Committee for
the Support of Vietnam Policy is dedi,
cated: ?Douglas E. Heritage, 4
