MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
SUBJECT: Senator Goldwater's Call
1. This morning Senator Barry Goldwater called
had been asked by Bill Baroody, of OSD, to meet with one
of New York which he did. The Senator gained a favorable impression
ofa former Air Force colonel, and found his story interesting.
2. According to the Senator, I aid he had been in touch
with a group of Burmese now in Canada who had interesting information
about conditions in Burma (much of which the Senator found consistent
with his recent Agency briefing on Burma including Chinese weapons there.

5. I thanked Goldwater for the information and said we would

of the results, to which I agreed.
6. I also thanked the Senator for sending over the Peace Through
Law committee paper on intelligence. He said if we wanted him to lambast
them to let him know since he"wanted to kick the out of them."
