SUBJECT: Senate Foreign Relations Committee
Received a call from Mr. Arthur Kuhl, Chief Clerk, Senate
Foreign Relations Committee, who advised that he is scheduling the
and needed to know whether
the Director had ever met with the Chairman on this matter as had
been planned. I told Mr. Kuhl they had met and in response to further
question told him that the Director had briefed the Chairman fairly
fully on the Agency problem. The Chairman, however, was somewhat
undecided and felt that he might want to take up the question
ith the full Committee.
