MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
SUBJECT: Conversation -ith frank Slatinshek, Acting Chief
Counsel. House Armed Services Committee
Re Cienfuegos
1. Today I told Mr. Slatinshek that there had been no
significant changes on Cienfuegos--that the barges were still
in Cienfuegos harbor although the Soviet submarine tender anti
rescue tug had moved out toward the Gulf of Mexico.
Z. Slstinshek said that Chairman Rivers wanted an
updated briefing plus a look at the latest photos at 0900 tomorr
morning. He said we should bring along both the old pictures
and the new pictures which Rivers would want to compare.
