OFFICE OF LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL

who appeared before the House Appropriations Committee Subcommittees
on Defense and Military Construction. See Memo for Record and
trans cript.
2. Accompanied the Director in a courtesy

assistance.
3, George Murphy, Joint Committee on Atomic
Energy staff, called and advised the transcript of the Director's briefing
of tLae Joint Committee on 24 February 1971 is available for correction.
Copies 2 and 3 of the transcript were picked up and a copy has been
forwarded to OSI for correction.
4. Pursuant to instructions from the Director,
I called Carl Marcy, Staff Director, Senate Foreign Relations Committee,
and suggested 23 and 24 March as possible dates for the Director's briefing
of the Committee but I pointed out that the Director's schedule is very
unpredictable and I would not want either of these dates to be firmed up
completely without Marcy's first checking with us. He said he understood
and would be back in touch with us.
5. Accompanied Carl Duckett and Dave Brandwein
to a briefing of Senator Carl Curtis, new ranking xrnnority member of the
Senate Aeronautical and Space Sciences Committee,~on the Soviet and
Chinese space programs. Messrs. Gehrig, Parker and Voorhees of the
Committee staff, were also present. Senator Curtis expressed his appreciation
for this full briefing and said he would probably follow up on Duckett's offer
to keep him up-to-date from time to time in the future.
