and arranged for and me to give him his periodic briefing
on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.
25M5X1A 6. Deputy Chief of OPPB, called
about a response which DOD has prepared to an inquiry on U. S. programs in.
Laos. I told that as far as we were concerned I saw no need for the
25X1A Agency to be present when DOD gives Ed Braswell, Chief Counsel, Senate
Armed Services Committee, this paper, but agreed to accompanying them 25X1
if they prefer.

as requested, Representative Charles Rangel (D. , New York), was briefed by
the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs on U. S. Government world-
wide efforts to curb the illegal narcotics traffic. Representative Rangel was
very appreciative and indicated he will introduce legislation to provide
proper treatment for addicted GI's returning from Vietnam.
