1. Received a call from J. Sourwine, Chief
Counsel, Senate Internal Security Subcommittee, who asked for the names,
25X1C if possible, of the travelling with the "sugar cane
group" now living at the expense of the naturalization service in New Orleans.
I told Sourwine I would relay his question and be back in touch with him.
2. Received a call from Mr. W. Lee Gosnell,
Office Manager to Representative Benjamin Blackburn (R., Ga.), inquiring
for a constituent concerning purchase of modular construction units for use
by NSA at Ft. Meade. I referred Mr. Gosnell to at NSA. 25X1
3. At the urging of I I conferred
again with J. Sourwine, Chief Counsel, Senate Tnternal Security Subcommittee,
in an effort to determine the timing on Senator Eastland's placing in the
Congressional Record the recent correspondence from Petr S. Deryabin.
Sourwine repeated that the letter was in Senator Eastland's hands and he
expected the Senator to place it in the Record on Monday or Tuesday, but
Sourwine emphasized again that he could not make a commitment for the
Senator on this. 25X1

preferred not to go that far at this time. He said the appearance of the
material in the Monday or Tuesday Record would be quite sufficient.
In response to his query earlier in the day, I advised Sourwine that
the only information we had been able to develop on the "sugar cane group"
some time. Sourwine thanked me for this information and said he wouL
