10. (Secret - JGO) Met with Mr. Ralph Preston, House
Appropriations Committee staff, who told me in part that the
Committee hearing schedule has slipped and it now appears that
the Committee hearing schedule will not begin before the week of the
22nd.
I briefed Mr. Preston on the Soviet Central Asian and Far
East Military Districts; Egyptian participation in SA-3 exercises;
and Chinese SINO-A jet fighters.
11. (Confidential - LLM) Called Drury H. Blair, Senate
Subcommittee on Immigration and Naturalization, and requested the
reintroduction of the private relief bill on which he
said would be done. He said the Subcommittee a completed the
paperwork on the case,and expects favorable action by the Senate
before Se tember when will have been a resident for five years.

12. (Confidential - LLM) J. Sourwine, Counsel, Senate
Subcommittee on Internal' Security, was not available in the o ice
today because of illness and I left a message for him to call me when
he is available. (This concerns the delivery of "Department 'D':
