1. (Internal Use Only - LLM) Spoke with Robert Hull, Department
of State, regarding their retirement legislative proposals for the 92nd
Congress. State is preparing an omnibus bill to catch up to the major
Civil Service improvements not yet obtained for foreign service (prin-
cipally in the area of survivor annuities). They are also proposing
some changes in overseas allowances ( has been advised).
With respect to the retirement funding, Hull said they would again recom-
mend the merger of their fund with Civil Service.
2. (Unclassified - LLM) In response to her earlier call
explained to Carolyn Judy, in the office of Representative John Buchanan
(R. , Ala. ), that we have no tour of Agency facilities for a visiting
college student constituent but that if employment possibilities prompted
this interest, we would be happy to set up an interview with one of our
Personnel representatives. She was appreciative of this consideration
and said that she would check with the individual who is a one-month
intern in Mr. Buchanan's office.
