P. L. 89-367, which is being amended by section 409(1) of the Foreign

advised.
25X1 6. II - JGO) Met with Representative Ogden Reid (R. , N. Y. )
as a followup to last week's briefing on the Middle East and gave him the
25X6 numbers of I Representative Reid was most
appreciative. See Journal of 20 October 1971.

call of yesterday. He expressed his appreciation for the
courtesies of the meeting last week. He said he was looking forward to our
letter that he understood will be forthcoming in about a week. The purpose
of the call was to tell me that he was writing asking for definition of some of
25X1A the terms used in the unclassified report given to him on the ]O system.

25X1 8. GLC) Talked with J. Sourwine, Chief Counsel,
Senate Interna security Subcommittee, about our interest in seeing Petr S.
:Deryabin's letter to Senator Eastland published in the Congressional Record.
Sourwine said he had prepared the letter for Senator Eastland to place in the
Record ,and it was now in the Senator's hands. He said he could make no
commitment, but he assumed that the Chairman would go ahead with it.
