Warren Littman on the staff of Subcommittee on Internal Security, Senate Committee on the Judiciary, and pointed out to him the errors in dates in the published testimony of 5. Met with Mr. Frank Slatinshek, Assistant 25X1 Chief Counsel, House Armed Services Committee, who advised that Chairman Rivers will be away during the greater part of the week. He also noted that briefing of the CIA Subcommittee would fit best in the Committee schedule during the week of 27 A ril. I briefed Mr. Slatinshek on 6. Talked to Mr. Arthur Kuhl, Chief Clerk, Senate Foreign Relations Committee, who advised that no request had been received for the transcript of 15 April. The transcript is being held by the Agency subject to call by the Committee. 7. Talked to Clara Posey, Appointment Secretary to Representative John Rhodes (R., Ariz.). In part Mrs. Posey advised that Representative Rhodes had continued the appointment for debriefing by Mr. Carver as a courtesy followup to the briefing he had received prior to his trip to the Far East, but that he, Representative Rhodes, wanted to meet with the Director personally tomorrow. In keeping therewith, the debriefing scheduled for today was cancelled. I I Met with Mr. Arthur Kuhl, Senate Foreign Relations Committee staff, who advised that the transcripts of 2 and 13 March DCI testimony will be required daily pending the floor debate on S. Res. 211, Senator Brooke's bill on suspension of MIRV testing. Met with Miss Clara Posey, Appointment 25X1 Secretary to Representative John Rhodes (R. , Ariz. ), and scheduled a meeting for Thursday, 16 April at 4:15 p.m. to debrief the Representative on his recent trip to Southeast Asia. Mr. Carver has been advised. 7. Met with Mr. Paul Goulding, 25X1 Administrative Aide to Senator Claiborne Pell (D. , R. I. ),who requested advice on the status ofl whose application for employment 25X1 is under consideration. After checking the Office of Personnel, I advised Mr. Goulding that a reject letter is being drafted. Although his file had been very carefully shopped, no opening was found. 8.
