Friday - 17 April 1970
In response to her earlier request,
I talked to Madeleine Marceau, in the office of Representative Charles
Gubser (R., Calif.), concerning opportunities for fixed wing and heli-
copter pilots and suggested she have her constituents contact Air
America and Continental Air Service. She thanked us for the suggestion.
3. Received a call from Mrs. Mary McLaughlin,
Senate Foreign Relations Committee staff, who requested that the
DCI transcript of testimony before the Committee on 15 April be
forwarded to the Committee for use during the day on Monday, 20 April.
4. Picked up from Senate Foreign
Relations Committee two copies of the published testimony of the
Committee hearings on Laos of October 1969. (See Journal item of
16 April 1970.)

Thursday - 2 April 1970
1. I I Met with John Lofton, staff
member of the Republican Conference Committee, and gave him
certain information he requested on the subject of pollution in East
Germany and Communist China. He was most appreciative.
2.1 1 Met with Robert Horner, Chief Investigator,
House Internal Security Committee, concerning the Committee's interest
in Marxism/Leninism. He said they would give this further thought and
spell out to us their interest in greater detail. (See Journal item of
1 April.)
3. Delivered to Bill Miller, in the
office of Senator John Cooper (R., Ky.), the FBIS material on the
SALT talks per our discussion yesterday.
4. Called Senator McClellan's
Subcommittee on Criminai Laws and Procedures and learned that
while the testimony of will not be published for
approximately three mont s, t e transcript of the testimony is available
for review in the Subcommittee's office in the Senate.

5. Mrs. Norris, in the office of
Representative Thomas Meskill (D., Conn.), called to inform us that
has a personnel interview with the Agency and
that the Representative would like to be on record as recommending
him. I told her I would pass this on to the appropriate people and
informe Office of Personnel.
