Remarks: The FY 68 program has been adjusted to complete twenty TPCs and revise-reprint ten,ACIC PCs. For, FY 69-74 resources have been programmed
with intermix of in-house capability and contract funds to accomplish program objectives. FY 69 programmed as intermix of new chart and revise/
reprint. FY 70 forward production is maintenance based upon a lesser production standard.
Current Program Posture Nine PCs providing selected coverage of the ZI have been published. These PCs are to be replaced by TPCs being produced by
USC&GS.
Program Objectives Based on USC&GS TPC production, the existing PCs will be replaced by the end of FY 68. USC&GS will complete TPC coverage of the ZI
and Alaska-and-provide ACIC with repromat for producing military editions to satisfy DoD requirements. Within the ZI, eight military editions
of TPCs will be.,produced during FY 68 with the remaining twenty-nine completed during FY 69. USC&GS plans to revise-reprint all ZI.TPCs semiannually;
however, ACIC only plans to revise-reprint annually. Resources should therefore be programmed for annual revision.
Of the seventeen TPCs required to provide coverage of Alaska, repromat will be received for completing twelve charts during FY 68. The remaining
five charts will be.completed during FY;69. USC&GS plans to accomplish semiannual revision of ten charts and annual revision of the remaining

Remarks:
Resources have been programmed with an intermix of in-house and contract funds to accomplish program objectives. Commercial contracting
includes engrave, plate, press and finishing.
Current Program Posture Coverage exists for Alaska, Japan, Western Europe,. Cuba, Southern and S.E. Asia, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and selected areas
of USSR, China and Indonesia. Majority of these charts are outdated.
Program Objectives As JOGs are completed they will replace and eliminate ACs and AGCs from the inventory. Until they are eliminated they will be
retained. in the inventory under a limited maintenance revise-reprint program. Based on DIA JOG program guidance, the AC/AGCs will remain in the
inventory for several years. Resources should be programmed to accomplish twenty-five revise-reprints annually. During FY 74 reprints should be
decreased to ten based on JOG. programmed completions.

-The principal areas
of the world where coverage of
these two chart series remains in inventory are Alaska, China, Europe
, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea,
and the Philippines.
Present plans call for either
straight reprints or limited maintenance in order to maintain adequat
e stock in inventory until all
charts are replaced
by the 1501 AIR Series. We estimate that 45 of the 1906 charts in inventory will be reprinted during
FY 68. Reprint quantities for a
two year period average about 15,000. Present plan
calls for an intermix of in-house effort and commercial contract "in c
olor separation and printing
skills.
