As their installation has been operative for over 4 months I felt that he would have had time to evaluate its performance. Mr. Abbott informed me that they have had their engineers to change the gear ratio. This gear ratio, change will result in an increase of time required to open an aisle. It is expected that the time will increase from 9 seconds, presently the case, to 14 seconds. a problem and that II was sending one of I asked Mr. Abbott if he would let us know if this gear adjustment corrects the existing problem and further requested that he call us if he thinks he has any information of interest to us. I feel that a call from I Engineering Office, to Mr. Abbott would e very 25X1A5a1 helpful. I also asked Mr. Abbott about the Estey installation that is scheduled to go into Army Map. He told me that the installation has not started yet. He said it will be almost identical in size with the installation. When completed this should prove e Army Map with an excellent opportunity to compare the two systems. Approved For /0 : CIA-RDP74-00005R000100070039-5
