MOTOR DRIVE UNIT is located in one
of the stationary end units-the tension
device for anchoring the continuous chain
in the other end unit. An electric motor
drives the movable units via a sliding con-
nection and a tooth gear engaged to the
endless chain located alongside one of the
carrying rails.
CONTROL BUTTON. The Fullspace car-
riage starts moving when the button is
pressed, and movement stops automati-
cally when the aisle is opened-or when
button is released. Only that aisle di-
rectly in front of the operator opens
when the button is pressed.
CONTROL PANEL accurately directs
movement of the shelves. When a Push
Button is pressed, the control panel pro-
grams the other shelves to move right
or left automatically, depending on the
location of the aisle being opened. Con-
verts 110V AC to low voltage 24V DC to
all controls and safety devices.
HOOKING DEVICE. When the control but-
ton is pressed, the carriage in front of the
operator is hooked to the drive chain.
This automatically moves this carriage,
plus all other adjacent carriages in the
line of movement. When the carriages
move the amount and direction required,
they stop, and the chain reverses itself
slightly, releasing the hooking device.
THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION is very
simple. You can plug the contact into a
standard 110V electric wall outlet. Eco-
nomical to operate - as the motor only
runs when shelves are moving. 550
watts to each operation.
SAFETY CORD. Between every closed
unit and across the open aisle hangs a
cord-the safety device-which has a mag-
net on one connection. When the safety
device is attached to all units, they com-
plete the low voltage electrical circuit that
powers Fullspace. When any one safety
device is detached, the circuit is broken and
Fullspace cannot be moved until the circuit
is closed again by attaching the magnet end
to its proper connection.

ommodate depth of shelving ordered. Cross rails shall be glued and
secured in mortised plows of two Stiles with at least three recessed sash
pins at each tenon. Three cross rails, a top, bottom, and center, of a
pair of stiles shall be considered minimasan to form finished uprights.
Wood for uprights of stiles extend unjoined to full height, is select
(Grade "C" or better) West Coast Douglas Fir and kiln dried with seven to
ten percent moisture content.
SHELVES - Shall be made of edge-glued (with urea resin glue), standard
or better) West Coast Douglas Fir, Kiln dried with seven to

and in widths and depths specified. Each shelf corner shall have a -?

contractor recommended by you and trained by Lundia).
4. Free training of operating personnel and your maintenance personnel

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
This equipment is the latest in motorized, space saving, shelf filing.
The system is designed to save valuable floor space and provide better and
more efficient working conditions for operating personnel. The mechanical
operation of Fullspace is simple, practical and virtually trouble free.
1. Power Glide is equipped with four safety features for your protection.
(1). The unit requires only 24 volt current to operate which
eliminates any possibility of being shocked.

(2). The movables require the operator to keep the button
depressed while opening an aisle. If someone is in the
aisle, he can ask the operator to stop the unit.
(3). Primary Safety loop across outside of aisle. When go-
ing into aisle this is removed to deactivate the unit.
(4). Upper and lower secondary safety lines within the units
provide an involuntary safety if units are somehow ac-
tivated while a person is inside the aisle. Contact
with these lines will stop the units.
2. To operate the following steps should be followed:
(1). Stand in front of the aisle desired.
(2). Push the button on the movable unit which is closest
to the existing open aisle. Your aisle will be opened
in only 8 seconds.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS CONT.
POWER - GLIDE FULLSPACE
(3). Remove the primary safety loop placing magnet to the
right of your open aisle.
(4). Proceed into aisle to perform desired function.
(5). Leave aisle from same side you entered.
(6). Replace magnet of safety loop back across aisle which
will automatically turn current on throughout the system.
3. In the event the Power-Glide system fails to operate, take the following
steps:
(1). Make sure electric current is turned on at control panel.
(2). Check to be sure all primary safety magnets are placed
across the aisles in proper position.
(3). Check for object in existing aisle which could shut off
current at secondary safety line.
(4). If system still does not operate, phone D. N. Owens Co.
