MEMORANDUM FOR THE DIRECTOR:
This memorandum is for information only.
Er. Amory told me that you would like to get in touch with Hanson Baldwin
as soon as possible after his return from overseas. He is in Cairo and it
was at first believed that he would remain there another month. However,
his assistant, Ed Mossine, told me that Baldwin is now expected in New York
next Thursday, 20 December, being particularly anxious to get home for the
holidays. He has commitments in Washington during the week of January 14
and as of now had no plans to come here earlier. I told Ed that you were
very anxious to have a talk with Hanson just as soon as possible after his
return. He will ask Hanson to telephone me when he arrives at the office
next Thursday or Friday. Mr. Amory has been informed.
