New Inrx, 4 December. (TASS) The Chicago Daily News has printed an
artrle -y Dlrothy Thompson, which states that the material on the
,Artivity 7f the US Central Intelligence Agency which appeared in the
Saturday Lvening lost corrcborates the accusations of subversive activities
tnat have been mad( against the US..
Notingthe b:astful tone of these articles, which asserted thut the
US is plotting to overthrow governments and is engaged in sabotav and
other subversive activities, Thompson stresses that these articles were
published by the Saturday Evening Fost with the assistance and consent
of the Central Intelligence Agency. Further, Thompson notes that
thirteen Americans were imprisoned in China on charges of espionage, and
writes that "Enough information has been published to justify the arrest
of Americans or suspected natives wherever they are."
