MEMORANDUM FOR THE DIRECTOR
1. This memorandum recommends action in paragraph 5.
2. Charles Murphy is back from a brief tour of Air Force active duty
with General Norstad.
3. Murphy will be at home in Georgetown this week-end,
4. He suggests that it might be possible for you to drop in at his
place, at your convenience, to relax a bit, and to permit him to tell you:
(1.) Harry Luce is pressing Murphy to see you and to urge you
to get started on a book that Murphy would assist you in doing and LIFE would
be interested in its publication, promotion, etc.
