MEMORANDUM FOR THE?DIRECTOR
1. This memorandum is for information only.
2. Charlie Murphy of FORTUNE informed me by telephone today, that
LIFE is coining out next week with a major article by Jim Shepley which
will be 'highly critical of the Eisenhower Administration's handling of
the missile project. He said the article will also "hit intelligence"
for allegedly underestimating the Soviet capabilities in this field.
