(Confidential - JGO) Talked to Robert Blum, Senate Foreign Relations Committee staff, and told him that the Director has approved release of the OSS documents and that I would advise him as soon as possible when the documents will be available for delivery to him. I also discussed with him the possibility that the formal transmission to the Committee might be through the Archivist, although we would get the initial package to him. Blum felt the transfer to the Archivist would be of tremendous help to the Committee because it would of itself tend to finesse the many questions that would be anticipated regarding source of 25X1A documents etc. .~ Legislative Counsel cc: O /DDCI Mr. Thuermer Mr. Houston Mr. Clarke DDI DDS DDS&T EA/DDP OPPB Approved For Release 20 ci 1J2 .,; .ql+A,. ,DF 74r00415R000100010013-2
