Approved For Release 20071 ? I - DP741300415R00010010000145 19 December 1972 MEMORANDUM FOR: The Record SUBJECT Meeting with Brady/Boyer, 15 December 1972 1. On 15 December, undersigned accompanied DDP/NARCOG) and (OLC) to the Rayburn 25X1A Building for a meeting with Messrs. Brady and Boyer, Staff Aides to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. The purpose of the meeting was to review the proofs of the B and B Survey Report. This turned out to be a marathon session which lasted over four hours. 2. B and B were amena.b.le- to suggested additions, deletions and changes-in their report as they related to the Central Intelligence Agency role in combating international narcotics trafficking. They agreed to include a statement indicating that':.the survey team found no evidence to support allezations of CIA involvement in narcotics trafficking. Brady insisted that his statement was an accurate reflection of his discussions with l 1. Atter considerable 25X1A discussion, Brady wag persuaded:' to substitute "country team" for "U. S. Intelligence Officials" thus, eliminating the most embarrassing (to FE) passage in the report. 3. A considerable period of time was devoted to "help- ful suggestions" which were solicited by B and B. Most of these factual errors had been pinpointed by the recent NARCOG/FE session devoted to the B and B report. Generally, B E B accepted our "helpful suggestions" and professed gratitude for our assistance in helping them complete their overdue report. B and. B also asked that we help them in preparing three maps that will be included in the report. We agreed to do so. to be very complimentary of CIA efforts to date. This was a serious and prolonged session but a congenial atmosphere prevailed throughout. My impressions of B and B are that both are hard working and hard nosed individuals who could be formidable foes. I believe the cooperation and assistance rendered to B and B by Headquarters and field personnel for this survey was time well spent. 5. B and B continue 'SECRET r ve App 5-E-22 H S.
