SUBJECT: Conversation with Mr. James T. Kendall, Chief Counsel,
Subcommittee on Preparedness Investigating, Senate
Armed Services Committee
1. Mr. Kendall called me this afternoon and said that Senator
Stennis had asked him to pull together the various laws and regulations
pertaining to the intelligence community. Mr. Kendall has seen the
Agency's initial "Guide to CIA Statutes and Law" and asked if we could
provide him with a copy. I told him we would be happy to do so.
2. He said that would take care of the Agency, but he would also
need copies of the documents by which USIB was established. I told him
I would see what we could come up with on this and be back in touch with
him tomorrow.
