youth cf the Soviet Union are
firmly standing on the side of the Korean peopl who are fighting valiantly for
making the U.S. troops withdraw from South Kor a and having their sacred right
guaranteed to decide the destiny of their cou try by themselves without foreign
interference.
Then the speaker quoted Comrade L.I. Brezh ev, general secretary of the Central
Committee of the Communist Party of the S et Union, as stating in his report to
the 24th Congress of the CPSU that the So let Union had supported and was supporting
the proposal of the Government of the De ocratic People's Republic of Korea for

the country, and the tasks set bef re it.
He said that through the two world wars imposed upon mankind, the Lenin Young
Communist League knows that the eastly nature of the imperialists and the brutality

"On behalf of the entire membership of the American Servicemen's Union, I'd like to
avail myself of this opportunity to extend the greatest honor and thanks to the
great leader of the 40 million Korean people, Comrade Kim 11-song, ever-victorious,
iron-willed, brilliant commander and outstanding leader of the international communist
and working-class movements, who has shown such a warm solicitude as to invite me to
the congress and make it possible for me to stand on this high rostrum."
He said during his current visit to Korea he had visited Mangyongdae, where Marshal
Kim 11-song, genius of revolution and prominent leader, was born and spent. his
childhood, and time-honoured Ponghwa-ri, a historical place of the revolution.
I could see with deep emotions from my visits to factories, cooperative farms and
educational and cultural establishments the brilliant achievements gained, thanks
to the wise leadership of the great leader, he added. He continued: The brilliant
.successes achieved by the heroic people led by the great leader brought me to the
fresh truth and helped me gain high ideals.
The great leader Marshal Kim I1-song taught as follows: "Particularly, it is very
important to strengthen the work of the'League of Socialist Working Youth. The
LSWY, as a militant organisation of the youth who is heir to our revolution, is a
reliable reserve and active assistant of our party. The future of the fatherland
and the prospects of the revolution depend, after all, on how the youth is brought
up. Consequently, to heighten the role of the LSWY is an important. matter that
concerns the future destinies of the country and the nation".
This teaching constitutes a great summing up of the past history traveled by the
League of Socialist Working Youth, and a clear-cut prediction and truth discovered
bT him on the basis of correct analysis of the role played by youth in the revolu-
tionary struggle.
We have known long ago that it was the heroic Korean youth who defeated U.S.
imperialism for the first time in history. Then'how on earth could the Korean youth
become a heroic one who astonished the world's people with wonders? It'is because.
of the fact that the Korean youth have as their father, teacher and leader, Marshal,
Kim Il-song, national hero, who embarked upon the road of revolution at the age
of 14,.roused the youth to struggle, organized the anti-Japanese guerrilla army
and defeated Japanese imperialism by waging a sanguinary struggle for 15 years.
The great leader, Marshal Kim I1-song, organized the 'Down With Imperialism Unions'
already in the Autumn of 1926 and led the Korean youth to the road of struggle.
And he formed the "Saenal_Juvehile Union' and Anti-Imperialist Youth~?League and at
last organized the Korean Young Communist League in the summer of 1927, thus clearly
indicating the direction of struggle to the young people.
As thelYoung Communist League under his leadership firmly united numerous masses
around the leader, so the Democratic Youth League of Korea, founded with those
brilliant traditions inherited from the earlier organisations, led the youth to
the worthy struggle for building the democratic base and thus achieved brilliant
successes.
'The Korean People's Army which inherited the brilliant revolutionary traditions of
the anti-Japanese guerrilla army organized by Marshal Kim 11-song on April 25, 1932,
humbled the arrogance of the murderous U.S. generals who ignited the Korean War-in
1950. The war-mongering U.S. generals raved that they would have breakfast in
Haeju, lunch, in Pyongyang and dinner in Sinuiju, a city on the River Amnok-kang.

Nevertheless dealt heavy blows by the courageous soldiers of the Korean People
Army who fought heroically under the brilliant leadership of Mart.h,'. Xtr* 77..,,
ever-victorious, iron-willed, brilliant commander and military strategic genius, they
couldK't even have a proper breakfast in Seoul, and they had their lunch in Taejon and
their dinner in the prisoner of war'camp. Such was the fate of General Dean, commanding
officer of the 24th Division and other bestial generals.
The stamina of the Korean youth'is still fresh in the memory of the young U.S. 'soldiers
along with the knowledge that Dean's defeated division had been known as the so-called
"Victorious Division." The young U.S. soldiers can now acquire the truth that they
should fight the imperialist enemy like the Korean south.
He said that is why he deemed it a great honour and it made'him very proud to be
there with the Korean youth and make a speech from the rostrum.
It would be hard to find any other young people who-are as happy as you, the Korean
youth who were born and are growing up in the warm bosom of the great leader Marshal
Kim I1-song and are spending proud days of struggle according to the.teacher. You
are participating in the congress with the honour of being a model of anti-imperialist
struggle, an example of great change and being the heroic people who embodied the great
chuche idea in reality. Once again I wish t
admiration for the..great leader-Marshal Kim 11-songs who has madetitepossibledfor
you to occupy such an honorable place.

The heroic struggle of the Korean people under the wise leadership of the great
leader of revolution, Comrade Kim Il-song--this is the model of the American
Servicemen's Union members and in fact the model for the youth of the. whole world..
Your struggle for driving the U.S. imperialist aggressors from South Korea encourages
the struggle of the members of the American Servicemen's Uniofi against the war
policy and their vicious officers and it consolidates their confidence in victory.
Your daily achievements in socialist construction open up a brilliant future for the
American Servicemen's Union members and for all the oppressed people and youth around
the world. We feel no fatigue in-the struggle and continue to march forward dynamically,
with courage and strength, for we have the great leader of modern times, Marshal Kim
II-song, as our closest friend and instructor.
He said that the class struggle for. breaking the chains-of capital rages unabated
within America, the den of U.S, imperialism and the struggle of the progressive people
and conscientious soldiers against racialism and Wall Street's war policy is gaining
momentum daily. U.S. imperialism,, whose days are numbered, is going down the grade..
precipitately. Nevertheless, they resort to the most extreme measures to postpone
the day of doom as was the case with Hitler, Mussolini and Tojo, the most vicious
enemies of mankind, he remarked, and continued:
The U.S. imperialist murderers imprisoned Bobby Seale, chairman of the Black Panther
Party; Angela Davis, a staunch communist; Joel Meyers, who refused to serve in the
imperialist U.S. army; and many other comrades and have made them to undergo unbearable
sufferings behind prison bars. The blood thirsty U.S. imperialist aggressors are
committing the most brutal criminal acts by murdering numerous revolutionaries and
innocent persons at random, not only in the U.S. but in all parts of the world.`
Some time ago I visited the Sinchon Museum which has. made a bitter mark in the hearts
of the Korean people against the U.S. imperialist aggressors. Tears came to
my eyes as I stood before the tomb of 400.mothers and 102 children, feeling soaring
indignation against the U.S. imperialist bloodsuckers.
Pointing out that the U.S. imperialist aggressors are running amuck beyond human
imagination to slaughter people in all parts of the world as well as in Korea, the
speaker'went on: As instructed by Marshal Kim II-song, the outstanding leader of
the international communist and working-calss movements, the number one target of all
the revolutionary people of the world is U.S. imperialism. In order to avenge the
many oppressed people who.have.died a bloody death and.. in order to build a new
society in America in which everyone enjoys happiness, as in,Korea-', I recognize the
great chuche idea of Marshal.?Kim I1-song as the Marxism-Lenitiis.m of.the:present.time..
Marshal Kim II-song, the outstanding leader of the world revolution, taught as follows:'
"The peoples of all countries making revolution should tear limbs off the U.S. beast'

"The U.S. imperialists appear to be strong, but when the peoples of many countries
attack them from all. sides and join in, mutilating them in that way, they will become
impotent and bite the dust in the end".
In order to give death to U.S. imperialism, the sworn enemy of the Korean people
and the world's people, I totally support the strategy of the anti-imperialist, anti-
U.S. straggle brilliantly clarified by the most steadfast anti-imperialist fighter,
great leader Comrade Kim 11-song.
Saying that coming here to'the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the land of
chuche, and having seen the convincing reality of the socialist accomplishments, he
stated that he felt he had found many truths which a lot of our revolutionary comrades
are anxiously looking for.
He continueds Seeing clearly now how the revolution should be made and how strong
revolutionaries' will must be, I am filled with the conviction that brilliant successes
await us, in the just struggle of the American Servicemen's Union, and I feel a ,fresh
fighting determination.
.When I return to America I will share with my comrades the great chuche idea that they
may be aroused to struggle more vigorously against the U.S. policy of aggressir.
The American Servicemen's Union will study as documents, that must by all means be
.read,-'the works of genius of Marshal Kim 11-song, outstanding Marxist-Leninist of
present times, books which contain the basic positions, attitudes, strategy and tactics
that should be adopted by revolutionaries in any country or in any part of the world.
With the chuche idea as the guiding compass of struggle, we will consolidate the
branches of the American Servicemen's Union in order to rally more soldiers
around the organization. In this way the American a.I.'s, will fight against
their real enemies, against the policy of aggression and war enforced on them
by the U.S. ruling circles and the fascist military officers. They will fight
for freedom in all countries and in all parts of the world where the U.S. ;
imperialists have set foot.
We are well aware that the struggle to awaken the 041.1s being directly mobilized
by the ruling class, the struggle to organize and lead them, and to build a
powerful American Servicemen's Union that will turn the guns against their
fascist officers. We are aware that this will be a fierce and arduous battle;
however, so long as the great leader of revolution, Marshal Kim 11-song, brightly
illuminates the road ahead, we have a powerful weapon of revolution in our hands
and we are convinced that our just cause is sure to be victorious'. Likewise,
our struggle will know many victories both because of the justness. of our demands
and also from the great support we will receive from the hundreds of millions
of people young and old around the world who love peace and justice. Just as
the Korean people fought heroically and defeated U.S. imperialism, so we will
fight without pause until imperialism is finally wiped off the-,globe.
The U.S. imperialists must be aware that if in the future they provoke another
war in Korea they will be out down not only from in front but from behind as
` well, and will gat nothing but corpses and death.

Mhat is, from the front they would meet a crushing defeat at the hands of the valiant
Korean youth as they did in the incidents of the armed spy ship Pueblo and ths, large
spy plane EC-121, while from behind they will be hit by class-conscious American soldiers.
If the American Servicemen's Union cuts the windpipe of U.S. imperialism inside the arpay
while at the same time it is mutilated in all parts of t1~ie world, U.S. imperialism will
surely perl?A forever.
The delegates here, Andrew Stapp declared, can be assured that we will fight and march
forward, shoulder to shoulder with the heroic Korean youth until we bring about the
eternal spring of socialism and communism under which the whole human race enjoys a
truly happy and worthwhile life. He said; We will build a new society on the grave of
imperialism which has brought such great misfortunes and sufferings to mankind for
centuries. We will wipe out imperialism, headed by U.S. imperialism for good.
Finally, on behalf of the American Servicemen's Union, from the bottom of my heart I
wish fresh successes to the League of Socialist Working Youth. The League of Socialist
Working Youth has always played a vanguard role in the struggle to annihilate to the
last the U.S. imperialist aggressors in South Korea and thus unify the country, building
socialism and communism under the distinguished leadership of the great leader of the
40 million Korean people, Narshal Kim Il-song, ever-victorious, iron-willed, brilliant
