I IIn response to a request from Bernice Kalinowski, House Armed Services Committee staff, we provided the names of Agency personnel who accompanied I Ion his visit to the 25X1 House Armed Services Committee. 11, I I Called Patricia Bradley, Secretary to Representative Rangel (D. , N. Y. ), to say that the Director had been out of town and we would not be able to answer the Congressman's letter to the Director by today's deadline but would try to get an answer some time early next week. She said she would relay this to the Congressman remarking that she knew he was interested because he had just called from New York asking if the Director's answer had been received. 12. Diann Case, on the staff of Representative Durward Hall (R., Mo.), called to ask about "A CIA Paper on the Electronics Industry in the People's Republic of China. " I told her the report she was interested in was contained in a publication entitled, "People's Republic of China -- An Economic Assessment. " This document was issued by the Joint Economic Comm ttee,_on_-1.$ May 1972 and acknowledged the contribution 25X1 of a number of Agency experts. M.
