4. (Secret - JGO) Met with Mr. James Wilson, House Science
and Astronautics Committee staff, and briefed him on the "J" vehicle.
5. (Internal Use Only - JGO) Received a call from Mr. J. Sourwine,
.Chief Counsel, Senate Internal Security Subcommittee, who told me that he
had a request from a senator to check with the Agency concerning supposed
contacts by William Leonard Taub with Le Duc Tho, the North Vietnamese
representative in Paris, concerning Jimmy Hoffa's trip to Hanoi. I told
Sourwine I would relay the question and be back in touch with him.
6. (Confidential - JGO) Met with Miss Bernice Kalinowski, Secretary
to Frank Slatinshek, House Armed Services Committee staff, who told me
that she will be travelling to Yugoslavia during the recess and asked if there.
was any advice we needed to give her. I told Miss Kalinowski that I would
arrange an appropriate briefing for her and make the necessary arrangements
concerning her security clearances.
7. (Secret - JGO) Talked to Mr. Ralph Preston, House Appropriations
Committee staff, who asked that we draft the Chairman's budget letter. I
told Mr. Preston we would be glad to and I would have it up to him early
Monday morning. F7 I OPPB, has been advised.
8. (Unclassified - JGO) Picked up from Susan McMahon, Senate
Foreign Relations Committee staff, copies of the Committee report on
"Bombing as a Policy Tool in Vietnam: Effectiveness" dated 12 October
1972. A copy has been furnished to Mr. Paul Walsh, ADDI.
(Internal Use Only - PLC)I 1. DC S. called and
information had appeared in a State Airgram of the the incident. The
information was provided to J. Sourwine, Chief Counsel, Senate Internal
SecuriSubcommittee, who made the original request. I reaffirmed to
Sourwine that we had no interest in the student or any further information.
