4? Spoke to Jay Sourwine, Chief Counsel,
Senate Internal Security Subcommittee, and based on the advise of I 25X1
CI Staff, corrected some of the inaccuracies in the Washington Post 25X1
article of 7 July regarding the jailing in Cuba of a U. S. pilot of a highjacked
airplane. I told Sourwine that evidently this was a chartered flight and in the
rush and confusion the pilot had left behind proper identification and had been
detained temporarily in Cuba until his bona fides could be checked. Sourwine
thanked us for the information.
