_that after a thorough check I had determined
that the Agency had not made a copy of the transcript of the CIA testimony
on thel case when it was here some years ago and we had,
in fact, returned the transcript to the Committee by letter from Mr. Dulles of
December 3, 1954. I told him I thought our position now would be essentially
the same as that set forth in the 1954 letter (that we were opposed to publica-
tion or sanitation of the transcript), but thought it would be useful for us to
obtain the transcript from the Subcommittee and review it again. I added
that this time we planned to make a copy of it. Sourwine said that was fine.
