OFFICE OF LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL
Thursday - 20 July 1972
2. I Picked up from Senator Hugh Scott's (R., Pa.)
Minority Leader office a classified communication from the Senator to the
Director and this was taken immediately to the Director's office.
25X1
Senator Jackson dropped by the office and asked what was new. I
mentioned the latest information on Soviet Hen House radar. We also discussed
the recent move by Sadat to oust Soviet military personnel from Egypt. In
response to a question from the Senator I told him I thought the Egyptian move
was based in large part on the fact that the Egyptian's had grown weary of
having the Soviet's constantly looking over their shoulder. We also talked
about whether Soviet withdrawal if it is complete will make the Egyptian's more
or less firm in their dealings with other countries.
