1. In the absence of Mr. Herbert 25X1
Hoffman, House Judiciary Committee staff, I left with Mrs. Pratt, his
Secretary, several unclassified documents relating to the status of the
Espionage Act together with recommended changes in the findings of
the President's Commission on Crime for the codification of the criminal
law.
2.
I In response to his call, I picked
up a number of documents from Jack Nor el Senate Internal Security
Subcommittee staff, for delivery to OS.
3. Met with Mr. Ralph Preston, House Appropriation 2a5X`l
Committee staff, who told me that he talked to Representative Jamie L.

any of the details. At this time Mr. Preston does not know when to expect
Representative Sikes (D. , Fla.) but he does not expect that he will be back
in the city for at least a week.
As for Friday's meeting here at Headquarters for briefing by
Mr. Duckett, DDS&T, Mr. Preston will drive himself to Headquarters.
I briefed Mr. Preston on Secretary Brezhnev's illness and Soviet
testing of a new small ICBM.

Services Committee staff, and confirmed with him the meeting at 10:30 a. m.
