Approved For Release 2006/07/24: CIA-RQP, 415R000200210007-6 Journal - Office of Legislative Counsel Wednesday - 15 March 1972 Page 4 15. I I Met with Mr. Richard Barton, Employee Benefits Subcommittee staff, House Post Office and Civil Service Committee, who told me that although the Hanley bill, H. R. 11150, for the protection of the rights of Federal employees, is on the agenda of the full Committee tomorrow, he does not expect that it will be considered during the meeting. The next shceduled meeting of the full Committee for consideration of agenda matters will be four weeks hence. He noted that Chairman Mahon's letter to Chairman Dulski had been received and will be brought to the attention of the members if needed to defend the full exemption for the Agency which is presently set forth in the bill. 16.1 visit was made to the office of Senator Clifford Case (R., N. J.). and a message left for Mr. John Marks who is handling correspondence with a constituent. Mr. Marks was to be advised that this Agency had no information concerning the constituent. The con- stituent had written previously to Senator Case and though the letter was illegible and very incoherent, as far as could be determined, she was seeking to collect certain money from the British for services rendered. Agency files were negative. The constituent had rewritten to Senator Case and.this letter provided no additional information. 17. Spoke with Libby Reynolds, in the office of Representative Jack Kemp (IT. , N. Y. ), concerning our outstanding invitation for a breakfast-briefing at Headquarters for Mr. Kemp and half a dozen of his closest colleagues. Miss Reynolds said she had not forgotten us and would raise it with Mr. Kemp and be back in touch, probably on Thursday. \ Legislative Counsel cc: ER O/DDCI Ex-Dir DDI DDS DDS&T EA/DDP OPPB Item 2 Item 14 - Mr. Warner Col MORI/CDF TI L Approved For Release 2006/07/24: CIA-RDP74B00415R000200210007-6
