(Confidential - JMM) Mr. Houston and I briefed the Intelligence Operations Subcommittee of House Armed Services Committee on the unique security problems of the Agency, our classification and declassification problems and 'procedures, our views on the Executive Order on classification, and our problems in attempting to prosecute for security violation. See Memo for Record and transcript. 11. (Confidential - JMM) After checking with the Director, I called Dorothy Fosdick, Staff Director of Senator Jackson's Subcommittee on National Security and International Operations, to say George Carver, SAVA, would brief Senator Jackson personally on certain aspects of the Vietnam situation in the Senator's office at 4:00 p.m. tomorrow. 12. (Unclassified - RJK) Delivered China Atlases to the offices of Representative Charles Teague (R., Calif.), Representative Abner Mikva (D., Ill.) and Representative Joe Waggonner (ID., La.). Also delivered to Susan Smith, on Senator Buckley's (R., N. Y.) staff, a China Atlas, a collection of USSR maps, and a World Atlas as she had requested. 13. (Unclassified - LLM) Beatrice Sausville, in the office of Representative Alexander Pirnie (R., N. Y.), called on behalf of a constituent interested in a job with Air America and I referred her to the local Air America office. During the conversation, she asked whether there was any connection between the Agency and Air America and I informed her of our no comment policy, expressed my belief that Mr. Pirnie was aware of it, and said that if Mr. Pirnie wished to pursue this matter further, please let me know. 14. (Unclassified - LLM) Talked to Leslie Gray, in the office of Representative Stewart McKinney (R., Conn.), and obtained information on the present location of whom the Representative referred to us. 25X1 Declassified in Part - Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2014/02/05: CIA-RDP74B00415R000300070021-5
