8.1 Called Hilda Schreiber, in the Office of
Management and Budget, concerning the requirements of OMB's Circular
A- 99 relating to "Legislative Programs and Related Cost Estimates. "
Miss Schreiber agreed that retirement costs for the CIA Retirement Act
should be considered classified and agreed that the use of "normal costs"
was appropriate for a retirement fund, but said they would also like to
have outlay figures wherever possible. I told her this would be provided
in connection with the funding proposal.
9. I Miss Cutlip, in the office of Senator Jennings
Randolph (D. , W. Va. ), called and asked for our assistance in identifying or
locating photographs for use in connection with an article to be carried in a
company publication of the West Virginia Consolidated Gas Supply concerning
the company's oil lease in Algeria. I explained to Miss Cutlip that this was
generally outside of our bailiwick because of the classified nature of our
work. eing helpful and with the assistance
I referred her to several publicatio
ns having
photographs of oil and gas production facilities in Algeria which probably
are available through the Library of Congress.
