Met with Mr. Arthur Kuhl, Senate Foreign 25X1 Relations Committee staff, who told me of his knowledge that no hearings have been scheduled or witnesses invited to testify on the Cooper bill, S. 224, to amend the National Security Act to keep Congress better informed on matters relating to foreign policy and national security. He does not think that any scheduling will be made until after the return of the members. 2. Met with Mrs. Franzetta DeGooyer, Senate 25X1 Immigration and Naturalization Subcommittee staff, and received from her a copy of the Committee report on a 1960 immigration bill relating to one With regard to tin Mrs. DeGooyer told me that at 25X1 e 25X1 the 'Lim was being drafted by Senator Randolph's (D. , W.Va. ) staff 25X1 some consideration was given to the introduction of a bill that would authorize CAB to employ an alien resident of the United States. I thanked Mrs. DeGooyer for her assistance and advice. 2X1 are expected back in the office on the 7th of September. Mr. Warner as been advised. 3. Received a call from Mrs. Harriet Van. Duyne, Personal Secretary to Representative Florence Dwyer (R. , N. J2)5X1 who asked if the Agency could ' whose last kno 5X1 address was NCO Open Mess, 5X1 family believes him to be an employee o Me Agency.X11 Mrs. Van Duyne was told that we would check our records and be back in touch with her in the morning. 4. Met with James Gehrig, Staff Director, Senate 25X1 t i S e ov Aeronautical and Space Sciences Committee, and alerted him to preparations for another lunar launch.
