1. Met with Mr. Arthur Kuhl, Senate Foreign 25X1
Relations Committee staff, who told me of his knowledge that no hearings
have been scheduled or witnesses invited to testify on the Cooper bill,
S. 224, to amend the National Security Act to keep Congress better informed
on matters relating to foreign policy and national security. He does not
think that any scheduling will be made until after the return of the members.
2. Met with Mrs. Franzetta DeGooyer, Senate 25X1
Immigration and Naturalization Subcommittee staff, and received from her
a copy of the Committee report on a 1960 immigration bill relating to one
