I I- GLC) Accompanied DDI Coordinator on International Narcotics Matters, to a meeting with Davi Martin, Senate Internal Security Subcommittee, to discuss further Martin's interest in the illicit drug situation. See F _A Memorandum for the Record. 25X1 12.1 - GLC) Talked with Nancy Bearg and Ed Braswell, Senate Armed Services Committee staff, pointing out that statements to the effect that Senator Cooper's bill, S. 2224, did nothing more than establish the same type of arrangement which has existed for the Joint Committee on Atomic Energy for so many years without any leaks are a gross misstatement of the situation. I said Senator Stennis might want to talk with Senator Jackson (who is both a member of the Armed Services Committee and the JCAE) about the security procedures and arrangements in the JCAE and added that Braswell might want to also discuss the matter with members of the JCAE staff. Braswell said he realized that the statement which I mentioned was highly inaccurate and asked if we would jot down some points that we thought were pertinent. I said we would do this. 25X1A 25X1 13.
