President Kennedy Is determined that e 1,113 Bay of Pigs prisoners shall be freed, from Commu- nist Cuba's prisons. He has hopes they may be home for Christmas. He is aware that some may not live long if they remain in the shackles of Castro justice. Ironically, the 1,113 were near release when the Cuban crisis erupted in October. As arranged by New York, lawyer James Donovan, the Cuban prisoners were to be released in exchange for privately supplied drugs, medicine, baby food.
