We were very disappointed to learn from Mr. Kirkpatrick
Monday noon that you woDld be unable to address our
publishers that e =,ning, We were all looking forward
to talking with you..
As you undoubtedly expected, Mr. Kirkpatrick gave a:
very outstanding perforiance. Naturally, he was quite
discreet, but he g .ve our people a good understanding
of the background end organization of the Central
Intelligence Agency. Several of our people remarked
that they gained ebnsideErable confidence in that Agency
as a result of Mr. Kirkpatrick's presentation.
I hope that your affairs will bring you to Syracuse in
