a v i'l be called ?The
Federal Club.
It is being founded by
r-esident Kennedy's- inti-
mate friend Charles Bartlett,
Die Chattanooga Times eor-
resoondent who is the Presi- ?
ricrd-F, preferred walking corn-
ponion and who, with his
wife, was a houseguest of
the Kennedy; two recent
week ends in Newport.
Charlie is one of those
members who recently re-
signed from the Metropoli-
tan Club because of its color
ban. Since the founding
fathers of a nev private club
can establish their own set
of rules with far greater ease
than they can change the
firmly established existing
rules of .an ofd club, the idea
of the newly created club
was bum.
