EXPERIENCE: 1933-1947--Served as Regular Officer of the United States Army
in grades from 2nd Lieutenant to Colonel until retired
for combat disability.
1933-1942--Company, Battalion, and Regimental Staff Officer,
Infantry Regiment (including 2 1/2 years with
Philippine Scouts) serving at Jefferson Barracks,
Fort Benning, Fort Sam Houston, and the Philippine
Islands.
1942-1945--Bataalion Commander, Division Staff Officer, and
Regimental Commander, 37th infantry Division;
combat included the New Georgia, Vella Lavella,
Bougainville, and Luzon (P. 1.) Campaigns.
1945 -1947- -Hospitalized as a result of wounds received in
action on 17 April 1945.
31 March 1947--Retired from service for combat disability.
1947 -Present - - Entered on duty as civilian with the Central
Intelligence Agency in February 1947; have served
as a Deputy Director since January 1952.
