Aug. 23-There is another.
new baby in the Eisenhower
clan and the. President was
a little disappointed to heat
that it, too, is a girl. Grand-
son David Is the only third
generation in a 1 e so far
among the Eisenhower broth-
ers grandchildren,
The President was told
about the newcomer at a f am-
ily gathering at the St. Fran-
cis Hotel after the , Presi-
dent's arrival, in San Fran-
cisco Tuesday night. His con-
gratulations were offered, of
course, but then he re-
marked: "It's a shame we
aren't getting any more boys
in the family."
This youngest Eisenhower
is 2-month-old Anne, daugh-
ter of the Lloyd Eisenhowers
of. San Francisco and great
icee of ti,.. IIe
parents are a former Wash-
ington couple wh9 met while
and married right after the
liuaugural festivities in`1153.
Mrs. L 10 y d Eisenhower,
whose husband is now a law-
yer, describes what happens
when five sets of "Mr. and
Mrs. Eisenhower" get,togeth-
er in the same. room.
For one thing, there is apt
to be a little conversational
confusion since Dwight Eis-
enhower and brother Roy
nicknamed their sons "Bud."
